Jimmy DiAnno prides himself on ethics as he prosecutes in the
Philadelphia homicide division. He’s determined that justice will be
served. Mayor Jerry T. Savitch, the Philadelphia’s hero, having
restored the city financially, is charged with a brutal murder. The
victim is Jimmy’s girlfriend. Jimmy DiAnno is assigned to prosecute
the case. Jimmy can usually prosecute a case and stay unemotional
but this time the victim is more than a dead body. He’s faced with
ethic issues, should he step down when what he really wants is to
send the murderer to prison. This won’t be a simple case to try;
DiAnno will be put to a test unlike he’s ever faced before.
The victim of this vicious crime was blemished and vulnerable but
able to see the good in others.
This is not the same old run-of-the-mill mystery. Michael
Diamondstein is a new breed of writer. “Cloaked in Doubt” grabbed me
from the moment I read the first page. This book takes you on a
roller-coaster ride with sub-plots and twists. I couldn’t put this
one down until I’d finished it. The writing is superb; Michael
Diamondstein is an excellent writer. His experience as a former
prosecutor gives him an advantage over many other authors. The dark
cover lends to the suspense and teases readers to delve inside. I
highly recommend this book to those that enjoy legal and murder
dramas.
